Critical path method (CPM) scheduling software has become a ubiquitous and indispensable tool in commercial construction project management. For most commercial construction projects, it is the schedule that drives and influences management decisions. Interestingly, CPM schedules typically do not address safety issues or concerns despite a high level of interest in promoting safety on construction sites. Presumably, if safety concerns were linked with activities that are planned and explicitly incorporated into the schedules, it is more likely that the activities will be performed without injuries.

SalusLink is a software application tool designed specifically for safety managers. It lets the user link safety activities to individual line items in Primavera P3 or Primavera SureTrak schedule files. With SalusLink, the safety manager can use the schedule to plan and manage safety.
